Very few Gothic cathedrals were actually completed in the era in which they were embarked on. Freiburg Cathedral is an example of one that was – it has been a hallmark of the city for hundreds of years. The “Münster” market is held daily in the square around the cathedral.

Experience the Freiburg old town – A heady mix of quaint old lanes, tiny shops, pubs and boutiques – that’s the romantic Münstermarkt. Not forgetting the idyllic street cafés or mouth-watering snack stands from all over the world, conveniently grouped together at the indoor market, or “Markthalle”. Reserve a couple of hours and off you go – Enjoy!
