Ediger-Eller is not just one of the most attractive villages in the Mosel Valley, but it is indeed one of the prettiest villages across the whole of Germany and in 2010 it won a gold medal to prove it!

Ediger is home to the family-run “Moselromantik Hotel Zum Löwen”, perfectly situated, with its large terrace, overlooking the Mosel.  The history of the hotel dates back to 1840 and the hotel, its restaurants and wine-production business has remained in the family ever since.

Accommodation at the hotel is stylish and comfortable and the restaurant – run by the owner, Kurt Saffenreuther- is an oasis for gourmet food lovers! Not only is Kurt a great chef, he also grows and produces his own wine and his daughter was once wine-queen! So who better to help us prepare our special “fine wine & dine” packages…

Fine Wine and Dine Weekend By Air

Friday to Sunday from 03 April – 20 November 2020

● Return flight from London Stansted to Frankfurt-Hahn airport
● Return taxi transfers from airport to hotel*
● 2 nights’ bed & buffet breakfast accommodation staying in superior room with balcony or junior suite
● 2 x culinary wine-tastings with 4-course menus and 4 wines from the hotel’s own winery  (including water and coffee)
● Return river cruise from Ediger to the town of Cochem**

Price per person sharing a double room from £499.00

*Cost can be reduced if travelling with more than two persons.
** Package can be taken at the beginning and end of the season, but may not include a river cruise (price reduced by £20.00 per person)
*** Packages taken during public holidays may incur a supplement.

Other airports are available on request, but this will increase your transfer time once in Germany.
Your flight cost includes hand luggage only on the flights to Frankfurt-Hahn.

Fine Wine and Dine Break By Car 

Thursday to Monday or Monday to Friday

● Return Eurotunnel crossing from Folkestone to Calais
● 4 nights’ bed & buffet breakfast accommodation staying in superior room with balcony or junior suite
● 2 x 3-course meals
● 2 x culinary wine-tastings with 4-course menus and 4 wines from the hotel’s own winery  (including water and coffee)
● Return river cruise from Ediger to the popular town of Cochem *
● Packed lunch including a bottle of wine and walking map for a wine ramble
● “Zum Löwen Special” – 3 bottles of wine as a memento of your trip

Price per person sharing a double room (Thursday – Monday) from £575.00
Price per person sharing a double room (Monday – Friday) from £519.00

* Package can be taken at the beginning and end of the season, but may not include a river cruise (price reduced by £20.00 per person)

All the above packages are flexible and can be mixed and matched if feasible or packages can be tailor-made to suit your requirements. The sample packages are based on two persons travelling together – they are designed for the independent traveller, but can be arranged for any number of persons.  Travel without Borders welcomes private groups of any size.
