There are many ways to see the scenic landscape around Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen: an unforgettable riverboat cruise passing castles, palaces and medieval towns, leisurely walks through vineyards and forests, or a trip by cable car and chair lift to the Niederwald monument. A visit to Rüdesheim would not complete without stopping at the famous Drosselgasse, a popular rendezvous both for locals and for international guests. Its cosy courtyards offer live music and dancing every day from April to December.
The tradition of wine-making in Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen goes back thousands of years, so it‘s no surprise that the area has an excellent reputation for producing fine wines.
